Jamie graduated from Liverpool Veterinary School in 2001, and came to the practice from Glasgow in 2008. In 2009 he passed the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery and in 2015 was awarded advanced practitioner status in small animal surgery by the RCVS. He completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, in 2019.
His areas of interest are joint surgery, management of osteoarthritis, and muscle/tendon injuries. Jamie is a permanent member of the IVC clinical board, a member of the advisory board of the Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance, and the “X-pertise in OA” International Scientific Panel. He lectures both in the UK and abroad on musculoskeletal disease in dogs and cats. At home he enjoys fencing, photography and running, and trying to control his three small daughters and a sneaky whippet.
