Endoscopy

Endoscopy uses a flexible endoscope to examine the respiratory tract and GI tract and urinary tract internally.  It can be used to take biopsies, remove foreign bodies, and ablate masses via endoscopic laser.

Cases such as ingested foreign bodies in the upper GI tract or trachea, investigation of vomiting/diarrhoea/weight loss cases, ectopic ureters and internal neoplasia are good candidates for endoscopy referral
